Product Introduction
CR-G120 is a hydrophilic modified isocyanate curing agent suitable for waterborne two-component polyurethane systems. It features high functionality, low viscosity, high isocyanate content, and fast curing speed. When used with waterborne polyurethane or acrylic resins, it significantly improves the bond strength, heat resistance, and hydrolysis resistance of bonded products. It is suitable for various applications including printing, leather finishing, automotive interior adhesives, shoe adhesives, and blister packaging.Diluting with a solvent is recommended, preferably using urethane-grade solvents. Specific testing should be conducted before use.
Solubility/Dilution
Generally, this product is compatible with esters, ethers, xylene, and naphtha No. 100 solvents. However, solubility and compatibility should be tested for each solvent. Only polyurethane-grade solvents may be used. Water content must not exceed 0.05%.
Properties/Applications
This is a crosslinking agent suitable for water-based systems. Such systems require good bonding stability and chemical resistance. Although this curing agent has relatively weak hydrophilicity, it readily emulsifies in the aqueous phase, even under commercially common low shear stress conditions. Coatings prepared using this product form high-gloss, low-haze films. When mixed with hydrophilic curing agents, especially ionic hydrophilic polyol dispersions, it can be pre-diluted with water or a small amount of organic co-solvent added to control viscosity increase. Due to its moderate balance between hydrophilicity and high functionality, water-based two-component polyurethane coatings prepared using this curing agent are fast-drying and rapidly curing, forming films with high final hardness and excellent chemical resistance.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from light, at a temperature between 5-35°C. Keep the packaging tightly sealed. This product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. After the shelf life, a performance evaluation is recommended before use. This product requires strict protection from frost. Water-dispersible isocyanate curing agents are very sensitive to moisture. They react with water to produce carbon dioxide and urea gases. Carbon dioxide gases can cause a pressure rise in the container, creating a hazard. Containers must be sealed to prevent any form of moisture from entering. Once opened, it is recommended to use as soon as possible.
Storage Period
Must be used within 12 months from the date of production.
